Home for the Holidays is Swarthmore’s annual holiday tradition featuring horse-drawn carriage rides, arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, a visit from Santa Claus, dreidel games, a West African dance circle with Jeannine Osayande & Dunya Performing Arts Company, food trucks, hot cocoa and mulled wine, carols led by the Swarthmore Ukulele Orchestra, The Nutcracker Ballet, and so much more! Home for the Holidays will take place on Saturday, December 2.
This year will also feature the inaugural Santa 5K Run through the streets of Swarthmore on the morning of December 2. Come dressed as Jolly Old St. Nick, his reindeer, or elves! All pre-registered runners will receive a long-sleeved t-shirt to commemorate their participation.

We are pleased to offer advance ticket sales for the Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides, which start and end in front of Bryn Mawr Trust. Provided by Philadelphia Trolley & Carriage Company, tickets are $10 per passenger.
Each carriage holds a total of 6 passengers. Small children and babies are counted towards a carriage's capacity - even if seated in a lap - and are required to purchase a ticket. No exceptions will be made by Philadelphia Trolley & Carriage Company.

The Santa 5K Run/Walk is the kick-off event for Home for the Holidays. The course will commence at the Swarthmore Presbyterian Church (727 Harvard Avenue) and conclude at the Swarthmore Methodist Church (129 Park Avenue). Swarthmore Town Center and the Farmers Market will be open and located near the finish line so be sure to stick around and refuel after the race!
Race day registration and check-in will open on Saturday, December 2 at 7:45 am. The race will start at 8:45 am. Entry fees include:
Dressing up in any winter holiday gear/apparel is 100% encouraged! The first 100 registered people will receive a long sleeve t-shirt to commemorate their participation. And if you're a hardcore running enthusiast, don't worry...the race will be professionally timed by Bryn Mawr Running Company!
